Injection Therapy

Foot injections are a non-surgical treatment that can help with foot pain by reducing inflammation and swelling in the muscles, ligaments, and tendons. They can help you manage symptoms or conditions that make it hard (or impossible) to participate in all of your day-to-day activities.

Cortisone Injection

A cortisone shot is an injection of medicine that relieves pain and reduces inflammation. Corticosteroids are manufactured drugs that closely resemble cortisol, a hormone your adrenal glands produce.

Inflammation usually happens when your immune system sends cells to fight infections or heal an injury in your body. Cortisone is injected into the part of the body that’s experiencing inflammation to calm the immune system’s response in that location, thereby reducing pain and inflammation.

Cortisone shots are a safe, effective way to relieve pain and inflammation. They can help you manage symptoms or conditions that make it hard (or impossible) to participate in all of your day-to-day activities.

Other injection types are available and may be considered depending on patient’s needs. Available injections include:

  • Vitamin B12 for Peripheral Neuropathy

  • Prolotherapy as an alternative to cortisone

  • Alcohol Sclerosing for Neuritis
